This illustration is purely digital and was drawn on Procreate for iPad in a modern minimalist palette and digital painting style. The turquoise and pink palette isn't the original one, but is the first one I published in my Society6 shop
This red, orange and blue palette is the original one I used to draw those parrots on my iPad, I published them later because I had a huge crush on the turquoise variation.
When I create art that will go on beignt printed on products, I make several versions and one of them is called the. "art print file". I used to leave the background of the art print file white and plain, but in the recent past I took on to add a watercolor paper texture to it to make it more interesting. Along with this file, I always create a transparent PNG file, and a pattern version so that it can go on a variety of products.
The pattern file usually comes in handy when I deal with a product on which the full size art would look a bit off, then sometimes, like in the case of this Society6 travel mug, I simply prefer the pattern over the full size art even though both would look great.
I keep on creating new color palette for all my artwork to expand my collection and customer reach.
